So I got a call from the vets saying all kinds of scary things about Sable's kidneys. The word cancer came up (again) and I was told that we had to get her on a drip as quickly as possibly so that we can flush the built up toxins out of her system and get some nutrients into her. I literally left work in about ten minutes and got home.
I couldn't find Sable anywhere and worried that she'd gone off to find somewhere to die... but then I found her out in the garden sitting in the sun. I got her to eat a little bit and then Chris came home. We got her on the bus and got her to the vets where I got to talk everything through with the vet and we left Sable there.
Afterwards, Chris and I went to La Porcetta for some food and wine and then we went on to The Green for another bottle of wine. That seemed to work and we stopped crying so much and talking about the new Government. We came home and watched TV and had a bit more wine. I ended up going to bed at 11.30pm after watching a bit of Footballers Wives.
